Kinesis - the pioneer in ergonomics

Kinesis Corporation was founded in 1991 with one clear mission: to develop ergonomic input solutions that focus on comfort, productivity and RSI prevention. As early as 1992, the first contoured model (Model 100) appeared, the basis for the later Advantage series. Today, Kinesis is known for ergonomic keyboards, keypads, touchpads, foot pedals and smart accessories that make your computer work lighter.

Kinesis keyboards

Kinesis has many keyboards. Advantage2 is the iconic contoured keyboard with thumb clusters and columnar layout. This design reduces wrist flexion and stress in fingers and forearms, while programmable features and mechanical switches make your typing precise and comfortable. Available in US, UK and DE layouts, among others.

The Kinesis Freestyle Pro is a fully programmable, split keyboard. You position both halves at shoulder width and can tent to reduce pronation. Switch between Windows, Mac and Dvorak layouts with a single key or create your own layout for maximum efficiency.

The Kinesis Freestyle2 is ultra-thin with a 0° tilt angle that reduces your wrist extension. Its lightweight, compact design makes it just as easy to use in the office as on the go. Want more background on why a compact or split keyboard improves your posture? Read our blog The ideal keyboard.

Kinesis touchpads and keypads

Kinesis provides touchpads and numeric keypads (including those based on Cirque technology) that combine precise cursor control with ergonomic comfort. With smart software features such as scrolling or zooming and programmable hotlinks, you configure your workflow exactly the way you want, while keeping your hands relaxed.

Kinesis foot pedals

The Kinesis foot pedals take over repetitive mouse clicks and keyboard shortcuts so you experience less strain on hands and forearms. Driverless programming allows you to quickly assign keys or macros and work more efficiently during lengthy or repetitive tasks.

Kinesis FAQ - how to choose the right ergonomic tool

First, determine your goal. Do you want to reduce wrist pain, relieve shoulder strain or work faster with macros? Then use the filters to select by layout, size, split design, tenting or programmability. No workstation is the same. Above all, choose what suits your body, tasks and environment. By adapting the workplace to the person and not the other way around, you will prevent many complaints, work more comfortably and be more productive.
