What is a mechanical keyboard?

A mechanical keyboard is equipped with mechanical switch keys. This key consists of 3 parts, the key, a stem and a quick response spring.

This type of keyboards can be assembled to your own requirements and is ideal for very intensive use. This self-ordering means that you can replace the keys, is often programmable and can easily remove them. Mechanical switches have a longer lifespan and are especially popular with gamers and typists. The keys on this keyboard have a fast response and do not require the user to fully depress.

Advantages

  • Quick response typing and giving commands, this is because you do not have to press the key all the way down.
  • Very long lifespan
  • Easy to clean
  • Available in various switches

Several options are available. We mainly represent the Kinesis brand in its various versions. For example, we have included the entire gamers line from Kinesis including the Freestyle Edge RGB, the Kinesis Freestyle Pro keyboards and the Kinesis Advantage keyboards.

There are several mechanical keys available and each has a different characteristic with corresponding sensitivity. From a very light keystroke with non-audible click, or a switch with clear click audible and tangible.

Tactile switches

This switch has a tactile and silent click feature. Ideal for gamers and very intensive type. When pressing a key completely, you will also feel pressure force

Linear switches

This switch is ideal for gaming. These switches have no perceptible click, you need less force and have a very fast response.

Clicky switches

In our humble opinion, this type is too noisy. You can clearly hear when the keystroke is registered. Again with a light keystroke which allows you to work quickly.
