McKenzie back or seat supports were originally designed more than 70 years ago to improve support where office chairs are inadequate in terms of back or seat support and/or their form and functions are severely outdated. They also serve well to improve the functionality and support of inexpensive office chairs.
All of McKenzie's models are manufactured to last longer and perform better than other available solutions. To properly secure the supports and absorb vibration, they can be attached to the chair via wide straps.

As an example of one of the most common and affordable solutions, the original McKenzie® Lumbar Roll™, with a non-wrinkle, moisture-wicking, 100% polyester removable cover. This is the best-selling lumbar pillow and the ideal companion in the car, office or for use with a chair that does not provide adequate lumbar support. The built-in strap attaches the lumbar roll to most backrests and can even be used around the waist.

McKenzie's tapered Memory Foam seat offers the highest level of cushioning and comfort. The wedge-shaped seat is designed to "fill in" the dip that exists at the back of many office and car seats. The tapered chair design also provides ergonomic benefits by raising the hips, which in turn helps to tilt the pelvis forward and restore the natural C-curve of the spine. McKenzie's round and semi-circular backrests are filled with high-quality elastic comfort foam that provides comfortable cushioning. The memory foam also contours to the body to help reduce potential pressure points. The wedge-shaped seat tapers from 1.5 cm thick in the front to 7 cm thick in the back. The seat cushion consists of two layers, with the top being a 1.5 cm layer of Comfort Foam, with an underlying wedge of high-density poly foam tapering to 5 cm at the back. The wedge cushion features a durable, removable, cover that keeps the cushion in place on all chairs.
