The Simplex muscle tension meter provides insight into the amount of muscle tension delivered during certain efforts.
The Simplex EMG Biofeedback is frequently used by prevention workers and occupational health and safety experts to make professional computer users more aware of their (incorrect) work posture in combination with working on fine motor devices such as the computer (mouse use), tablet or smartphones. The Simplex is also successfully used in fitness training and pain treatment.
Surface electromyography (EMG) uses highly sensitive electronic amplifiers that detect the tiny electrical charge shifts that occur across the membranes of muscle cells when these muscle cells are stimulated by nerve impulses through the nerve pathways.
The display of the 1-channel Simplex offers feedback in the form of numbers, among other things, and feedback is also given via color LEDs and an audio signal. With an adjustable EMG threshold, effort and relaxation can be trained in case of excessive muscle tone and pain can be signaled in case of muscle cramps as is the case, for example, with an incorrect work posture.
By deploying this easy-to-use starter set, a health and safety professional can initiate awareness processes and have results of the interventions experienced by the user.
The Simplex software package provides the ability to build patient records and track EMG sessions via PC. The package is identical to the high-quality and user-friendly NeuroTrac ETS software (2-channel EMG and 2-channel simulation).
These 5×5 cm size electrodes can be connected directly to the Simplex and are self-adhesive. Reusable for the same patient.
These are smaller electrodes measuring 3.5×5 cm and packed per 30 pieces. The Snapconnector adapter plugs are required to use these electrodes.
Conversion plugs for using the Simplex Snapconnector electrodes.
